If that student is a current Residence Hall student, they should be able to return to the halls when they come back from studying abroad in Fall 2013. To walk through that process, they should contact the Resident Life Assignments office at 301-314-2100. If they are off campus and want to examine possible housing options or get advice on finding a place to live for when they return, they can contact the Off Campus Housing office in Stamp at och.umd.edu
Doing preparation work now will certainly help them be much more prepared this time next year!
